I was wowed by these beautiful greeting cards by Quilling Card. They're colorful but simple - and they come blank which I love. Each card is handmade from layering many pieces of colored paper until it forms a design - a process called Quilling.
This art form dates back to the Renaissance when nuns & monks would use the trimmed edges of gilded books to decorate religious items or the covers of books.
About 100 years later it became popular in Europe throughout women's boarding schools and among 'ladies of leisure'. Quilling recently has come back into fashion and many beautiful pieces of artwork are emerging.
What patience! Hafta Havit currently has greeting cards available in 3 designs. Each card is about 5.5" x 5.5" and include a color coordinated envelope.
